Young nation is the latest single from Rickstar it was written by Rickstar in collaboration with Texas producer B.Barber and writing partner Prince Chapelle and recorded in Los Angeles
The concept of the song came from Rickstar’s response and frustration within the industry , stereotypes, politics, tragedies and Youth being taken advantage of in the music industry. The song is a socially conscious upbeat song using a political standpoint to help raise awareness for youth and people to not make the mistakes of putting their dreams in the hands of industry predators, and taking control in creating your own narratives and destiny’s. Rickstar says , I didn’t wanna just sing about the obvious, sex and lust in this song but wanted to write something that would help touch people in trying times
Rickstar’s innovative music integrates a wide variety of styles, including , New Jack Swing , Funk, R&B, Latin, rock, pop, new wave, and hiphop
