most of the produce we eat is in the rose family: peaches, apples, strawberries, plums, cherries, almonds, it's a huge family

I love how she makes those cultural foods. It makes my day that she puts in the time to do those

0:34 nice aspiration in "bhorta" there! The sounds in Indian languages like "bh" are pretty notorious for non-Indians to pronounce.

It's a nice surprise as a British person that we weren't the ones to steal the thing for a change. I love strawberries and there are lots of ways to eat them in Britain but my favourite is the most simple, fresh with whipped cream on a summers day.

In Rome, they have an amazing dessert with strawberries ! It literally just strawberries with lime juice and sugar. It’s also very good with whipped cream, Nutella, etc..

Plant City, Florida grows amazing strawberries! My Mom, Gramma, and great Gramma have all spent many strawberry seasons filling the freezers with homemade strawberry jam that they made. We are then able to enjoy fresh strawberry jam all year round. So delicious on butter bread, toast, cheesecake, and so many other things!

Hi Beryl just wanted to say I love your channel and your overall positivity and openness to try out different cultures. I was a staunch traditionalist but after watching you I have grown to accept different cultures

If you ever have the ability to eat a wild strawberry….you need to do it. Compared to commercially grown strawberries, wild strawberries are in another class completely

In Romania we smush the strawberries into a bowl, we add sugar ( if you want ) and you add sour cream, until it turns pink, you eat that with “mamaliga” that is a corn flour dish, you boil some water, add salt to the water, add corn flour and cook it a bit more until it gets harder, this is how Romanians 🇷🇴 eat 🍓

In Pennsylvania, we're known for a few things but top 3 is definitely strawberries, horses and apples. We typically have a strawberry shortcake. Or rather, our version: white cake, whipped cream and fresh strawberries layered together. It's sooo good and a staple of summer in my state. We even have strawberry festivals where they make giant sheet strawberry shortcake.

That explains why the French call the strawberry “fraise”

I have grown up right next to acres and acres of strawberries. I feel extremely grateful that I can eat fruit right off the vine. I eat at least 1lb a day 🍓😋🤤
