I Fought Rekrap on the Lifesteal SMP...

I saw Rekrap at spawn on Lifesteal, and we ended up getting into a battle...

I prefer to use Notch Apples for fire res cos then you have more inventory space for strength, the resistance they give is useful, and there's no reason to not have loads of God Apples available if you put the time in to collect them :)

It's actually insane how much both SB and rek improved so much at pvp. 2 years ago this would have been a funny not so stressing fight but now it's just insane tbh

Definitely improved at PVP, here are some tips:
1: Use your axe more to stun your opponents shield.
2: Try to never go below 80% of your health, so you don't get quick dropped ESPECIALLY in this lifesteal kit
3: Practice p critting and just hitting off your crits more. A lot of your hits are sweep hitting
4: Don't spam webs, place them in groups of 2 or once if possible
5: If you are stuck in a web above you, look up and place webs to bubble web

sb practice your shield break and your cobs, there's no need to spam them just predict where he lands, use gaps more often, don't be scared even if he's much stronger than you and go in for crits since the kit is really quick drop and if he splashes turtle master u better just step away and heal

Seeing the exponential improvement in pvp from the start of Friend or Foe to nearly killing rekrap (was half a heart at 7:00) is really cool!

he went from getting quickdropped by wemmbu in below 1 minute to actually having a good fight with rekrap (he went to half a heart said on the princezam stream)

This was such a good fight and i can tell SB is improving greatly! Rek got to like half a heart at one point when SB got him in the cobwebbs. I think one thing you should do is go on pvp legacy with a lifesteal member (like you did with derap) and learn a few more tips that could help you massively. Maybe Pangi as you and him are teamed now. But great fight as Rek is two tiers above you on the lifesteal pvp tierlist on the wiki.

just 2 things you need to work on:
1. disabling shields (you were getting destroyed by rek cause you couldn't hit him)
2. always keep your saturation up as it can help you heal faster and allow you to put pressure on your enemy's

One quick tip I have for PvP that I haven't seen anyone mention yet is:
Make sure to pre-gap for full saturation and the extra absorption and regen.
And if your saturation runs out mid-fight and you have a chance, eat more gaps to fill it back up.

Saturation is quite important in PvP because it helps you heal up more mid-fight, especially with the regen from the gaps.

Edit: I did see you eat gaps to get high saturation in the fight, just remember to do it before the fight

Sb you have improved a lot! I know you have definitely been practicing. But I just wanted to let you know it’s much more effective to train with people you know are good rather than random people on legacy. (The average legacy player isn’t the best)

Don’t forget to disable shields. There’s a technique that I forgot it’s name but when using your sword switch to the axe at the same time as clicking to hit. It will disable the shield or if he doesn’t shield it’s a normal sword hit. I’ve gotten pretty good at it and you’ll pick it up in no time

You should splash yourself with a weaving potion before combat so that you move through webs at double the speed. It only lasts for three minutes though :/
