Wow... when they say quiet, they mean QUIET! Thank you very much for this guide! I installed this board in my Ender 3 Pro, double checking all of the guides I could find, and comparing them to the photos I took of the factory 4.2.2 board, and this video helped me the most! All of this made so much sense, and I am so grateful for your help. Thank you again; this works amazingly on my printer. I have tested it with all of the motors, as well as the thermistors and am quite happy with it. Again, thank you. :D

Great project
Nice to see your experience when you have error, you track them down, and show how to correct errors.
Thanks for sharing 👍😀

Man ive been at this for a week and cannot for the life of me figure out what im doing wrong lol. For some reason I have an extra yellow wire attached to the corner of the stock LCD screen I dont know what to do with when the New LCD is installed, and my BLT touch wires are different colors. Orange, red, brown as opposed to red, yellow, blue.

I have installed all the same firmware, and configs but when everything is installed the new LCD says no printer attached, and my computer doesnt pick it up anymore either. I may come back to this again when my adhd isnt kicking my ass lol, or maybe ill try to find someone in tampa that I can pay to install this stuff. Bad part is, this should be easy since ive been building computers for years lmao.

Thank you for all your tutorials! Even if i couldnt get it to work it has helped tons of people. At least I can take this machine apart almost blind folded now that ive taken out and put in the board like 10 times now hahah.

sitting here wondering why my firmware wasnt working properly after the corexy conversion. Did not occur to me that BTT would revise the pinouts. good thing I watched this video, thanks :)

Thanks, this cleared up some confusion on bl touch wiring. BLTouch content starts at 10:00

Man I have followed the whole series, bought this board and meticulously followed your instructions. After boot the microSD has firmware.cur but I never see the firmware installation or a splash screen at all... I returned the board for another and same result. I'm going to try it one more time tonight and just go back stock. The only difference were the colors of the BL touch 3 wire prong.
Forgot to say thank you so much for putting this out there to help others get into this. I appreciate it.

Edit: My TFT35 V3.0 is very different from yours. I held the selection knob down and it let me put it into Marlin mode and all is well.

Excellent video. I just took delivery of the BTT SKR v1.4 Turbo - 2208 & TFT35 V3.0. Looks like it showed up just in time to get it all ready for your next "how to".

Thanks for uploading this its helped me so much. It's easy to follow, The only mistake i made was forgetting to upload the firmware to the TFT 35 once i did BINGO everything worked.

Wow.. Watched this tutorial. I have to go back and watch the versus, but I'm leaning toward the mini setup(it seems easier for a first time install and setup of these boards), for an upgrade to 32 bit. I'm already running your stock firmware for the ender 5 plus stock(non silent) board, and your firmware made it simple to say the least! It's running like a top thanks to that and your upgrade suggestions for the 5 best updates. Thank you for what you do! It's for sure most appreciated...

Excellent tutorial. Technical if you want it, understandable if you need it. Was able to determine what I connected backwards. Thanks!

I think that rumor about adding ferrules to the ends of wires was started buy a guy with a lot of ferrules to sell. Ferrules can occasionally be useful in wiring boxes but adding them to the ends of every wire is insane. I've been in the electronics business for 50 years and never heard of anybody recommending this practice. There's absolutely nothing wrong with tinning the ends of stranded wires before assembly to terminal blocks. Also, heatsink fins should always be oriented in the direction of airflow. I doubt it will make any difference in this box.

Great tutorials Kris. I got my ender 5 plus running great with your help and with your firmware you shared! Keep up the fab!

Kris, another detailed video, I really liked that you carefully went through the wiring diagram and pointed out where changes needed to be made. It's interesting to see even the experts can have problems after a mod. Glad you were able to figure it out quickly. Looking forward to the next one and to see the prints.

I have been trying to find a good starting point to upgrading my ender 5 plus with this skr mini e3 v2 to updated Marlin 2.1 firmware to take advantage of input shaping which as really make huge advances in speed and quality in things like Bambu printers. SKR doesn't have any 2.1 support, 2.1 doesn't have any configuration files for the mini. Wondering what the chances are you would be able to help us out there that lived Kersey when building out this beast years ago. This original video is what got me into the 5 plus and what has made printing what it is for me today.

TMC´s give the heat downside, so on the underside of the PCB are big areas with copper (increasing this is the most important change from v1.2 to v2.0). Same for the MosFETs. So the heatsinks are pretty useless. The Einsy board (Prusa mk3) have no heatbreaks, even with the 2130 producing more heat. For cooling it is essential there is some airflow on the underside of the board. Never route cables under the board as the might stop airflow. Optimice airflow by guiding the air from a fan under the board would be a good idea...

Hey Kersey, glad i watched your video. Without that part where you swapped wires in connector i would have fried my board and would have been mega pissed. I upgraded 8 bit stock board in ender 5 pro and it turned on and did not explode. I notice steppers moving faster in autolevel too. Firmware got updated by bootloader no issue.

A fantastic walk through! Thank you for showing the issues and not just editing those out.

I know this is an old video but I'm slightly confused. The first video in the series you had 3 ribbon cables coming from the new TFT35 screen but in the second video where you are attaching the cables there are only 2, the gray 10 pin and the black 5 pin, what happened to the other 10 pin cable? Is it not needed? Getting ready to install my new E3 V3.0 and TFT35 V3.0 and a little confused!

Hello! Great video :) I got my hands on an Ender 5 Plus from work that was not working and since I have spare parts, thought "I can fix it!" lol So I put in my old SKR Mini E3 V2.0 (put the V3 in my 3 Plus) I flashed the firmware to the Board and every works great, except the BLTouch. Even replaced the BL Touch with a spare I had. Everything is connected in the same manner as in your video, but the BLTouch does not deploy. Was hoping you could point me in the right direction! :) Again, love the video, it did help a lot with this printer :)
