6 years later here i am 22 years old now
I was 15 or 16 in history class when i asked that question. Now here i am never had a full head dreads i caved in and brushed them out while they were young.

my dreads are now one week old, i've kickstarted them using the woolrub method and by using saltspray to keep my hair dry and tangled. but here is my question why doesn't anyone mention the woolrub method as a kickstart method and only mention at as a mentaining method? I have have short (5, 5 inches) fine straight blond hair and this method works amazing

I started my dreads just over a month ago using the free form method and my hair has rapidly began to lock up into individual sections. However the sections have a tendency to matt together into one huge impenetrable mass. Will the hair naturally pull itself apart or should I separate the individual sections and will doing this effect the time it takes for the dreads to form?

I sweat constantly under a headband 8 hours a day and have 2-3 month old dreads, regular wash schedule, dried thoroughly, will sweating give me dreadrot???

How do you get rid of the indents of the rubber bands in your dreads

I want to start free form dreads and that sorta means not washing my hair as much, except my hair gets so greasy it looks wet in only 24 hours. Is there anyway I can let the dreads form while I keep my hair not looking greasy?
