Youtube is shooting themself in the foot with them forcing ads nowadays, if adblocker is not allowed, then I'm leaving this platform. Can guarantee that I won't be the only one either. Yes Mike I don't mind paying a little annual fee for adblocking say on YouTube for example butt at$15 per month being a pensioner this is really quite expensive and I am a frequent YouTube viewer. I have tried some free ones but they invariably end up costings at the end point.

Ok, so there's A LOT of misinformation and general ignorance in the comments, so allow me to educate you all. The general effectiveness of your ad blockers/other extensions is ENTIRELY dependent on your browser. Since most browsers are built on Chromium (which is Google built and owned) they are AUTOMATICALLY less effective at blocking ads due to the fact that manifest v2 support was either crippled or outright removed by Google. So any browser running on Chromium such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, Opera (and it's affiliates) and YES even everyone's beloved Brave browser are no longer as safe and effective at running extensions and blocking ads. I've tried them all so I know what I'm talking about. The only viable option out there is to run a NON Chromium based browser like Firefox (and the like) which still supports ad blocking extensions that run on the older manifest v2 extensions.
