NHL 21 HUT GAMEPLAY *HUT RUSH*

Here's a first look at official NHL 21 HOCKEY ULTIMATE TEAM GAMEPLAY including actual gameplay of the new game mode HUT RUSH.

New mode HUT Rush is more about your prowess to pull off stylish moves than grinding out a win. You get points for the more skillful moves you use, such as trying to score between the legs or pulling off a one-handed deke goal. When you score, you get multipliers up to 5x on the last three skills you used, for a maximum of a 15x multiplier on a goal. It’s all about finding the best combos to get the highest score. With all the points you rack up, they unlock bonus HUT items each week, which can give nice perks, from coins to elite players.

EA is doing absolutely nothing for the casual gamer. I'm very good at NHL, but I don't play any of these crazy game modes. I stick with online versus and season mode. The graphics are the same. The physics are the same. The crowds/atmospheres are the same. It's literally the same game year after year, with the exception of a few minor tweaks and additions.

The easiest change they can make to counteract the same cheese is to simply make it count less each time you do it in a game. Same thing the goalies have needed for a decade, if you score the same goal over and over it should become much harder to beat them that way again. Obvious changes EA always overlooks.

I think this whole point system is going to be good for the game. Instead of the same old cross creases and one hand tucks people will feel the need to up their game and get creative for the promise of more points/rewards. Good move by EA (doesn't happen all that often lol)

Yooo Nasher! Haven’t watched you since the pandemic. I know you live in Ohio and just giving a heads up, if you want to go out & get on the ice (I’ve been dying to get on the ice for the last 3-4 months and I also live in Ohio) OBM Arena (Strongsville Ohio) I know Strongsville is quite a bit away from Columbus but to be on the ice Is worth it lol! OBM Arena just started doing public skates & as far as I know it’s the only place doing public skates for 11$ per person. Also would be dope to meet you someday!

Overall, as someone who doesn't do much hut, i'm not exactly excited for this but it would be cool if this were to be implemented into a practice mode where you just try and beat your personal best. Glad EA is trying out new stuff for the arcade and sim crowd.
