ahha, `degree` means a number of adjacent edges.
I picked up information about the Laplacian matrix here and there (wiki, blog, youtube etc) but was still confused. This video combined all the concepts and got me understood. Thanks.

You have calculated laplacian matrix of a graph which is directed here. But what if the graph is undirected? In such case what will be the laplacian matrix?
