I've never heard this cover and honestly, I never thought anyone could cover Sabastian Bach's vocals...HO-LEE-SHIT!!! This is fuckin' awesome!!! Mad respect to her and the rest of the band for Absolutely MURDERING this remake!! 🤘💀🤘

Whoever mixes this band deserves a Grammy. Fuzzy, rough, pure metal with perfect levels for everything. I can hear everything, which is not something you can say for a lot of hard rock acts these days.

The lead singer is straight fire. She is incredible.

When I get my car, this is what I'll be blasting through the speakers as I drive to school. Awesome job, Halestorm!

I always view cover songs as a band paying tribute to one of their influences. I don't think the singer intends to make a "better" version of the song. They just want to recreate what was probably a huge influence on their musical evolution. This is a great cover and the original is one of my favorite Skid Row songs.

Christ almighty. A kickass song made even better. You don't see that often with covers.

The amount of incredible things this girl can do, I feel as if I’m in the presence of a rock goddess. Thank you Lizzy Hale for your outstanding performances. Your ability to honor the classics is outstanding. And thank you to the rest of Halestorm all of you together continue to make my rock ‘n’ roll experience as memorable as it can be.

When the cover eclipses the original...
God damn, Lzzy Hale has vocals that are unreal. I've seen Halestorm many times. Never once dissatisfied. In fact, they usually overshadowed the acts that followed.

When I first heard Halestorm, I thought Lizzy's voice sounded strangely similar to Sebastian Bach's.  So... this is kinda full circle.  Love it.

And now she gets to join Skid Row for a bit

Finally a female rock singer who isn't afraid to put a little grit in her voice in the proper places. I LOVE it!!!

This shows you how great Skid Row were and sadly how little recognition the got compared to their talent.

I think it's great that Halestorm chose to cover this song from Skid Row's sophomore album. Which I think was their best and true to themselves work. I loved their version and Lzzy's!

I LOVE eighties metal. I can't stress this enough. As soon as I heard this version of Slave to the Grind my mind was BLOWN. I didn't think a cover could ever amp me up as much as the original, let alone more.
