Am I the only one who is less impressed with the technicality of the playing and far more impressed with the ability to actually compose this stuff?

The riff at 1:14 is absolutely beautiful!!! My favourite part of the entire song

I love this jazzy stuff with death metal drums.

Of course I love the music, but along the lines of what Nikko G said, this isn't so much as a playthrough but more of another music video. In CHON's older playthroughs the camera was steady and we could *see* them *playing* without any confusion as to where their fingers were or how they were actually doing what they were doing. Here the camera's all over the place, shaking, switching focus between the two of them. I might be wrong but I felt like some of the main reasons that they used to do playthroughs was to showcase their ability and to demonstrate *what* they were playing, the latter of which isn't quite as clear in this video.
Edit: I've liked the video anyway. These guys are my homeys.

I am only repeating what others already said, but their old playthrough videos had that rare magic... so hard to see now. You could feel they had mastered every second of the song.

It like they picture a super happy and colorful summer or spring in their mind and then try to compose the sounds they hear playing in the background onto their instruments. Forget about how hard it is to play them.

The outro riff makes me life, I just learned the bridge riff from the space now I gotta learn this one but im not the best hybrid time to learn. Such a dope band and always such good stuff coming out from them.

I have listened to this album in all the possible formats found, flac, mp3, streamoing (itunes - tidal) cd and with earphones and receriver, etc. I always hear a distortion in the treble :(, I love this album and the band!

Plug the guitars in. play it live. stick to 3 camera angles TOPS. Fret Hand, Picking hand and full view. Id really like to SEE CHON play their music not feel like looking through a screen door on a sunny day with Parkinsons disease.

Why is it so hard for Sumerian to understand Chon fans want to actually see them play for real? I could understand if it would bring more views, but it won't, just compare these "playthroughs" to their old videos.

This is the cutest yet remarkable way to play guitar

I'm glad I'm not the only one who obsessively checks that his volume knob is all the way up every two seconds

Idk if this type of playthrough was their idea, but damn I miss hearing them plugged in and playing along with the track. Don't get me wrong, this is really cool too and I dig it but I know other homeys feel the same way
