I am SO excited to finally be able to release this song to you guy, it's a track that has been in development hell for almost over a year but it is finally ready to be released and I could not be happier!

First of all I have to give a HUGE thanks to Un3h for providing her amazing vocals to this song, it truly brought it to life in a way I could never have imagined. Make sure you all go check out her channel for some amazing vocal covers!

I also have to give a huge thanks to Xandu who managed to make the best animation I've ever had on this channel, I love how the video turned out so much and I am so thankful that he always steps up to make such beautiful animations to my videos!

My sword finally pierced through his heart, the Demon King that has terrorized this world for so long. I couldn't believe it, after so many years, this long travel had finally finished. The world would finally reign in peace. I can finally come back home and marry her, my childhood friend, who has followed me through my travel as my companion, I'll finally will fulfill the promise we made.

I draw my sword away from his heart, now dead. The Demon King falls to his knees and disappears into dust. What was left from him is what we have been looking for, the Heart of The World. The item that the Demon King used to gain all his power. Once this secured and placed in the Altar of World Tree everything should work as normal.

I took the Heart of The World and gave it to my love, she was the one in charge to have this back as the priestess she is to fulfill her role. Together now we would go back home and party for our victory.

I started walking and babbling now about the future that was waiting for us two, the house of our dreams, the family we would make, the time we would spend together. But all that stayed as a shattered dream now.

I turned to her, she was standing still, with the Heart of The World on her hands, staring deeply at it. I had a bad feeling suddenly.

-- M-my Love? What are you planning to do?

-- I am sorry Hero... I have to fulfill my role.

She absorbed the Heart of The World inside of her, she began to change, her face, her hair, her body structure. Her whole existence began to change in front of me.

That person was no longer the one I knew, she had become, the Demon Queen. The one I could never raise my sword to, as I still loved her. But I couldn't betray my destiny. I have a job to protect this world, even if I cry or suffer, even if I had to raise my sword to my dearest person. I am a Hero, the Hero of this world. And if I can't stop her, no one else will.

I raise my sword against her, letting the tears fall from my eyes. I couldn't bear this, but I had no other option.

I have to fight her, so I can save the world. Even when I rather, wished to saved her.


Edit 2: It's been a while and I still like to come back to listen to this song. So just cus I am here I'll drop an after battle story.


I held her in my arms, as the sword that pierced through her chest is slowly killing her. Thanks to the Heart of the World she is barely staying alive. But I can see, how her body is slowly disappearing.

She takes my hand, opens her eyes, showing even after all of this, she was the same person. Just fulfilling her own destiny.

-- This is for the best... Once I die, so will the Heart of The World will... in that way, no one else will obtain it's power... and the rest of the world will be forever saved.

Her destiny, as the priest was not to retrieve the Heart to it's core. But rather, to stop anyone from ever using it. That required her as the subject to absorb it's content to empty it. And me, to face her and destroy it.

I couldn't bear it. The biggest sacrifice we made was our future, for a brighter one to everyone else from now on. She never became evil. She was just fulfilling her role. A role that never had a better future for us.

Her body disappears, as what is only left behind is the Heart of the World. Empty of it's power. It's just a stone now.

I take it. Leave this place. And decide to end my destiny here too. Sleeping eternally in the place, we wished one day to make our home.

I’m disappointed I’m only just now finding this, and sheesh.
The buildup, arrangement, and everything about this is amazing. Definitely sounds like a song one would hear in the final battle of an intense JRPG. This gives off some serious Nier:Automata vibes, and I love it.
