Nauru has ~80 men fit enough to play football. So if we were to make a national team that would be our pool, BUT we can also include the ~12000 ethnic Nauruans who live abroad. Considering that a much lower percentage of them would be obese, I estimate that there are about ~2000 men of age and fitness to play for our team. We now have a pool of around 2100 to create a national team. I was able to find two Nauruan footballers on Wikipedia, one of which even plays in the top flight in New Zealand. Unfortunately both of these players have played for Tuvalu, but fortunately since Tuvalu is not a FIFA recognized nation, they are not cap-tied and can compete for the motherland. With this information I shall now move to Nauru and create a national team. World Cup 2026 here we come!
