Can Fiberglass cut wood? Only one way to find out. I made a sheet of fiberglass and cut it with a 60,000 PSI waterjet to see if it could be an effective saw blade.

In electronics, a PCB, or Printed Circuit Board, is nothing more than a few layers of woven fiberglass laminated in resin. Then layers of copper are put on one or both sides (complex PCBs have many more internal layers). The most common laminate is FR4, which is made using a flame retardant resin. The sawblade you made is essentially a PCB substrate.

Just add some garnet grit to the mix and you're on your way to custom made cutting/grinding discs. Great stuff guys. 👍

this guy is the reasons we at the fire dept have job security. that twsting glass with no gloves and then bare handing the wood to the saw with NO protection from the questionable saw blades that could explode they could have sent shrapnel into his arm and lower extremities. I thought some level of smart would have been done here, like a safety box around the saw and it activated remotely? Luck was the only reason he wasnt a casuality and we came code 3 to save someone from a darwin award

use window strips and a cut up vacuum bag to make a vacuum press composite, you'll get much tighter layers and stronger bonds. it's a crude analog to how they make carbon fiber plates for aeronautics.
