My first Volkswagen beetle car had 36 horsepower and it took me everywhere.

Not having enough power to keep up with your mates ? I solved that problem by not having any mates. 👍

Thanks for really good thoughts on the required power for having fun. I own a NC 700 X DCT, so I've got even less hp (48) and I really love it. Speed and power are in my oppinion for pubescent riders. Grownups realize that it only counts to come home safe and relaxed.

2.5 years of ownership - what an amazing package. Took the NC to a couple of track days, drew a lot of attention and had as much fun as the fast and powerful guys! Highly recommend this bike for the long haul if you commute or slip away on weekends...

I upgraded to the 750 X DCT from a 34hp scooter for more uphill power and offroad fun and the bike and the DCT work really well. Thanks for the nice video.

100% agree. However it takes a few decades of riding to realize this after (if) one has survived the sports bike phase.

I bought my NC 750 about two years ago and ride it whenever I can. I totally agree that if you are in a hurry to get somewhere it might be better to take a plane. But if you enjoy being on a bike, the NC will not be beaten easily. I went for a road trip a couple of weeks ago and did about 2000 kilometers in 4 days. Not only was I not tired but it only made me wanting more. And the best part was the fuel consumption. I cruised at about a 110 km/h and it gave me an average of 3.1 liters per 100 km. That is better than my 150cc scooter that I had before that. The only thing that I did not like about the NC is the standard fairing. It is way to low for the open road, but I bought an aftermarket one and it is 100% now. Thanks for the nice videos and keep on riding.

Total agree with you! The main reason I bought this bike was that I wanted an every day bike, reliable, fuel efficient for longer trips and practical (dct). I ride the bike every single day on normal roads not on the racing tracks. It's almost a perfect package for me (still needs some accessories but I work on it 😁).
Let's speak about the speed or how fast the bike is: I tested it and it does 0 to 60 in 4, 45 seconds that's faster than most of the every day riding cars on the road. Maximum speed it's also arround 190 Km/h - how ofter are we riding on these speeds? I need to test it more offroad in order to make a proper opinion about it's abilities but seems to do pretty well there also..anyway it seems to handle most of the normal off-roads.
Thanks a lot for this video! Btw I liked the drone footage looks very good and I recomand you use it more often 👍

I've had the DCT for a year and I love it. Great reviews.

The fact that it has a longer effective range before refuelling means that it is actually faster than bikes with twice the power!

Personally, my NC700X had too much power for me. So I just "down-graded" to a Royal Enfield Himalayan with half of that HP. So now I have the Himmy for touring around Alaska, and my Suzuki TU250X (at 16 HP), for my daily commuting. Guess I'm just not man enough for the NC ;-)

I have had one for nearly 2 years now. The dct version. Dullest bike in the world bit superbly practical and I love it. A brilliant all round bike

This is one awesome bike. I’ve tested one NC750X 2019 year model for 1500km in two days ... That was my most pleasant two days ride in my motovlog career. You can check the vlog with the bike in my channel. I usually ride a sport bike Yamaha R1 but i love the Honda Nc ... and sooner or later i will buy one for my self.

I am back on my NC after a mishap with my Ninja 1000. The funny thing is I like it again and apart from the appalling brakes I went two up all around Mundaring here in WA with no problems. I think I am actually going to keep it now after failing to sell it.

Very correct in the U.S. in 1973 I road across the country (4000 miles) on a Suzuki 500cc two stroke. I had a great time and no problems.

I wouldn´t say no to more horses, even if I don´t need them, but what I do really miss are better brakes. My "R" mates are amazed how quick this thing goes in the twisties...

Love the video. I live in the U.S. and I just “upgraded” to a 2018 NC 750X DCT from my 1994 CB 1000. I say upgraded because it all aspects, besides stepping down by about 50 HP, the NC is a much better bike for around town and commuting to work. It’s almost 100 lbs lighter, has fuel injection, better gas mileage, ABS, traction control, more low end torque, handles better, and of course thoughtless shifts, which allows me to focus more on the road an the cagers on their cell phones.

That being said, the attitude of most riders here is just like you said. They want lots of HP that they’ll rarely be able to utilize and they have to have a clutch or it’s not a “real motorcycle”.

So, the brand new NC I picked up was on sale for just under $7, 000 because it sat on the showroom floor for over a year and a half!

Great bike!
