In todays video I answer another viewer question! The question was: How do u make changes in one viewport and not another. if i have two viewports (so it is 2 of the same drawing) in layout space and i want to make changes in one of the 2 drawing. i want to leave the other drawing as it is. can this be done. thank you.

Well in this video I show exactly how to easily do this using multiple layers and the viewport freeze/thaw option to control what is visible in each viewport.

If you have any autocad questions you would like answered just like the video and leave me the question below!

Cheer and happy drafting!

Hi thanks for your video! I got a question would I do the same thing if I am working with an XREF? and do all the layers in the XREF have to be on for me to turn on/off in the viewports? I hope this makes sense! thanks!

Hi, do you have any idea how to hide objects per VP?
