Hot take, I'm assuming by "us" she means persons of color, but the constitution wasn't made for anyone still alive today. We have so much technology and knowledge that would have been considered magic back then. And to her point it actually was kinda after we replaced every ondication of "white man" with "person in general". People of color have a lot more opportunities nowadays being that you can get scholarships and government aid just for having colored skin. The past was gruesome so leave it there.
