my favorite part about this is that once the lead starts taking off, the backup vocals respond with "YE-EA-AA-AAH!" like they're so stoked that he's going for it

I just like imagining this actually happening on stage, this singer going blue in the face while the others keep going like nothing is going on. People are panicking, but it's that train wreck you can't look away from. As the song goes on, people are far more impressed as he starts ascending to the heavens, lighters out, everyone seeing them off to the heavens, and the crowd cheers while the band is still oblivious to what's going on until after the show when they realize their singer is gone.
