I have unexpectedly rescued a huge collection of records in the family that's been in storage for more than 30 years and somehow this unclaimed collection ended up at my brother "Charles's" house. I found out by chance the lot was going to be thrown out unless someone in the family claimed it so I headed out to Charles's house asap to check out the records.

I found it really touching watching you reconnect with your's and your brother's albums. They are really placeholders in time for us. Thank you for sharing this video.

Wow! What an amazing story ending with you getting some of your collection back. Plus it’s good that your brother’s vinyl is staying in the family.

Some great records and so interesting to hear about your brother and your musical stories.
There's nothing like rediscovering great music after so many years, it was like that for me when my record collection got stashed in a wardrobe for 25 years.

My situation with my collection is similar to yours, where my sister had saved my collection for me when I was in the military. I felt your surprise when you had found your brother had saved some of your collection for you. A great and moving video! Thank you for sharing!

I was so intrigued this morning when I saw an Asian American, like me, talking about vinyl. On YouTube. In the 70’s it seems like so many of us gravitated towards RnB, though I think we embraced all forms of music.
Wasn’t unusual to put The Ohio Players funk on right after Led Zeppelin’s rock. Then in the 80’s the albums you showed from your collection.

One thing is true, your (our) knowledge from liner notes made the experience that much richer. Thanks for sharing!
I’ll be sure to checkout the rest of your channel.

How exciting to be reconnected with your old lp’s after so long. A reunion to be celebrated for sure.

Your brother is such a cool and generous guy to give you all these albums! He must have spent a small fortune on collecting these vinyls. I wonder what type of HiFi equipment he owns to play these vinyls. I would be interested to know.

Happy for you, those are the real gems, priceless....for me the best time to collect high-quality Vinyl was in the ninetees...nowadays everything is priced way up and not worth the money at all.

Brand new to your channel. That was amazing all the albums your brothers had and then you found more of your albums. Some great 80s music. That Alien soundtrack looks quite interesting. It was nice to hear the story behind them. I have had shrink wrap on my albums for over 40 years. It will only warp if it is on extremely tight otherwise I found it helped to protect the album. You have a lot of exploring to do.

What an amazing collection of records! I have the majority of those records, also in the vinyl format. I was looking to see if he had the (Urban Decay) album in the Tower of Power section, the only album they did featuring Lenny Williams, a phenomenal record. I wish you both peace in your further endeavors!
