x² + 7x + 10 ≤ 0 —> set the equation equal to zero so you can find x, although it isn’t necessary as I’ve seen other teachers leave it unchanged.
x² + 7x + 10 = 0 —>
(x+2) (x+5) = 0 —>
x+2=0, x+5=0 —>
x = -2, x = -5

Critical points: x = -2, x = -5

Draw a number line. Select a random number to the left of -5, a number between -5 and -2, and a number to the right of -2. I selected numbers closest to -5 and -2.

Starting from the left, each section of the number line, around or between -5 and -2, will be false, true, false.

Interval notation: [-5, -2] (by looking from left to the right of the number line)

Inequality: x ≥ -5 OR x ≤ -2 (if the line goes left, x is ≤ smaller than or equal to, if line goes to the right, x is ≥ greater than or equal to) I prefer to write the inequality after graphing on the number line.

So, the answer should be somewhere between -5 and -2 lol I could be a good tutor, I just learned this today :0
