Also very difficult to program into your brain if you're human. Pragmatic connotations of words are extremely difficult to learn and explain and from my experience you can only acquire a vast understanding of how pragmatics work in a language by huge amount of frequent, continuous and long-term exposure to the language you are learning when surrounded by its cultural context. As far as I understand it this is very easy if you live in the country of the language you want to learn but if you don't... what efficient techniques are there to sufficiently increase my pragmatic knowledge? Textbooks won't even mention any form of basic and crucial linguistics, movies often times depict an exaggerated or dramatized version of a real situation and just don't cover enough of real-life conversations, and other academic work in form of books is extremely tiring and demotivating to read through. What other methods or techniques are there except from talking to and writing with natives a lot?
