The algorithm's recommended video at the end (not another Seth vid) made me laugh so hard... OMG Algo, spot on, but he'd take it personally if he knew🤣. Too funny. I'm sure Algo puts a different recommendation for each viewer, and I won't say who mine was, because the algorithm's just having a little fun.

But it got me thinking... it's fundamentally simple music, but played really well, and with steady frills - arpeggios, trills, big sweeping runs... so it's very basic harmonically, but there are a ton of flowing notes, so it's not simple in that sense. Did people think Liberace played simple music? Does ornamentation and skillful fast playing equal complexity, even if you're vamping between leading tones and tonic, harmonically? Can most or even all 12tet tonal music be broken down into those terms? Is it normal that the algorithm seems to be developing a sense of humor, lately?

IDK. I'll be thinking, off an on, about these questions (the musical ones) for weeks now, and it won't be the first time. As far as the algorithm - I'd rather Algo be a funny drunk than a mean drunk, so it's good news so far.
