There's one thing I will say for twilight and it is that the soundtrack is amazing

I remember listening to this song over and over with him in my mind. A smile forming on my lips as I picture his face that I found so flawless, and hearing his voice that I found so sweet. I decided one day to learn this on the piano, as he had to leave for a very long trip one day. I worked day and night learning this, and eventually I managed to play it by heart. Before the day he left, it was late at night and he was sad, telling me that he didn't want to leave. With that, I began to play the piano, singing these lyrics to him. I couldn't finish however because I started to cry, and when it fell silent, I noticed that he too had been crying. We stayed in our own comfortable silence until he finally whispered the words "I love you" to me. That day has stuck to me for as long as I could remember. Unfortunately... we broke up a couple of months after, and he turned into someone I don't know anymore. Listening to this song, singing along with it as I tap my fingers against my desk like a piano, I can't help but sob, because this is the only good memory I'll ever have left of the man I loved, knowing that I forever lost him and can never get that wonderful person back...

I'm here because my boyfriend and I had a deal that we would sing eachother love songs. I sang him can't help falling in love and he sang this. The story in this song is about a person that is saying that if they knew about the person that they are singing about, they would have answered life's only question:

"What am I alive for?"

"I've waited a hundred years." The speaker states that they have been waiting to answer the question, like most others.

"I'd wait a million more for you." The speaker is saying that now that they know what they have been waiting for, they would wait even longer if they got their love by the end. (Which is honestly so sweet, that's literally beyond devotion.)

The speaker always states that their significant others love is a turning page and that they would surrender their past self and mistakes. The turning page metaphor is simple, it means that their love encourages them to continue on and wait for what is left to come.

my mom and dad got divorced, and my dad is engaged. there thinking about playing this as my stepmom walks down the isle. and its perfect, bc my dad was an alcoholic, but since my step mom he's stopped drinking. its like my step mom is my dads "Turning Page", I know that sounds cheesy but it always brings me to tears thinking about it(in a happy way).
