I could do that to the front part of my shirt on the left part of the upper chest to hold my glasses. It's very useful for shirts that don't have a pocket. Great idea! Thanks for sharing.

It looks as if you are using a heavy-duty, either upholstery thread or Button Hole Thread rather than common sewing thread. I would recommend doing a boxed X stitch @ your joint points. Having two loops is good to double up the capacity.

Good idea. I used nylon because it's strong and able to melt. You can also use 1 centre cord from the paracord with a big needle.

Tip: to get gutted paracord end to melt perfectly, clamp the end, about 1/8" (3 mm) from the end, using locking forceps, hemostats, or needle nose pliers. Then use a sharp razor to slide along the edge of the pliers to make a clean cut on the paracord. Gently move the pliers inboard, so about 1/16" (1.5 mm) of the paracord is sticking out. Use a lighter to melt the end thoroughly and mash the melted end up against the pliers. This makes a PERFECTLY flat melted end. This is similar to the technique used to make drinking straws into storage tubes. You can take short lengths of straw, clamp it in needle nose pliers with about 1/16" sticking out, melt it, and mash it up against the pliers to seal the end. You can fill the open end with things like medication (pills or ointment), then seal the other end the same way. You can carry Benadryl or Neosporin or emergency medication in it. It's small and waterproof. You can't even carry a small one in your wallet if you have emergency medication that you might need infrequently. (I got the straw tip from Nutnfancy.)

Yes always good to have some type of tailors thimble. There are upholstery needles that are curved that are sharper & would be easier to use on the material of the bag. Actually. For a stronger tie down. Instead of cutting the thread on the corner make the knot but then slide needle through the inside of the paracord and out through the bag & continued as before. Fewer knots to catch on things and rip the paracord off the bag with. After making the second knot run the needle back through to other side again & cut off close to it. The loose end will be inside the paracord for stability and neatness

Very nice idea and execution. Btw, your stitching is totally fine, but you would want to do a final stitch and then hide the thread between the layers of the fabric or just on the other side of the fabric. not just cut it on the face. For an extra finesse you can try to do a couple of parallel loops longer loops kind of like you did (maybe even without pulling the needle through the thread after each pass) and then go over them making a kind of wrapper with the loops perpendicular to the stitches you made. So you first stitch paracord to the fabric and then you decorate the actual stitching with the fake coils that only go around the thread and not through the fabric. It's a classic technique found on buttonhole and pocket hole ends and basically everywhere you have a visible stitch (in bespoke clothing)
