Closed & Atraumatic Technique | Rhinoplasty

The correction of the deviated nose and alar base retraction are most challenging issues even for experienced surgeons. The litarature, especially, about the treatment of the alar base retraction is insufficient. I created a treatment algorithm for the alar base retraction and bring a clear explanation for correcting of the devaited nose several years ago. And these techniques were published in ASJ and Annals of Plastic Surgery Journals.
How about Closed & Atraumatic Technique? Lets start with “Atraumatic” It is my surgical philosophy: while treating of the deformity, protecting the anatomy and considering about all details; you can summarise it as finding the best way or perfection for you. And I have been using the word “Atraumatic” for my surgeries more than 10 Years. How about “Closed” as you know it is the technique which means performing the nose job without incision in columella. I prefer “Closed Technique” because the scar is important for me and there is no limitation for me to perform a surgery under Closed technique.
