ArcObjects is a library of Component Object Model (COM) components that make up the foundation of ArcGIS. ArcObjects components are installed with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Engine, and ArcGIS for Server and can be used in the following ways:
• To customize ArcGIS Desktop applications
• To build stand-alone mapping applications
• To develop Web applications
Steps to follow:
• Install ArcObjects SDK for NET Framework
• Install Visual studio
• Create New project using ArcGIS and C#
• Create Addin (ArcMap, Arc catalogue Arc Scene etc)

Hi GIS-Geospatial World! Please help me! I have one problem that I can’t solve. I made my app using arcobjects with Windows forms, but problem is when I use my app in Arc Map I can’t use functionality of ArcMap till I close window form of my App. Window form of my app doesn’t let me use ArcMap while it’s open. I would really appreciate your answer!
