Factor meals review! I consumed hundreds of Factor meals in 2023 and, to a lesser extent, 2024. In this video I'll explain why I am done using ready-made meals in general, opting instead to buy prepared food (such as a baked chicken) at the grocery store.

ANY0002 - Why I Stopped Using Factor Meals
What are Factor Meals?
- Ready-made healthy, gourmet meals
- Roughly 500-750 calories (I purchased the keto options)
- Roughly 10 USD / meal when factoring in shipping, with discounts this can be much lower
I used Factor on a cut last year and for this year's cut I've simply been eating store-bought baked chicken (or some other ready-made meat dish) and vegetables. You can get this at any grocery store in the US. Beats or comes out even with Factor in every way:
- Taste - Tasty but unexceptional; grocery store wins in terms of freshness
- Cost - Even with discounts, grocery store wins
- Convenience - Grocery store still wins when factoring in...
- Time it takes to choose meals
- Dispose of packaging from shipping
- Modifying delivery sizes when out of town
- Nutrition - Neutral
- Satiety - Factor doesn't sate me, for some reason
But the single biggest reason I'm quitting factor...
- "Surprise! You have a box this week!"
- Their reminder emails seem inconsistent and I failed to use a calendar reminder
- Double whammy: not only do I get food I didn't want but I didn't get to choose my meals
I'm not trying other ready-made meal services. I've looked into most of them and they're just variations on the same theme.
