I have a rainbow layer order coming, new baker and first time with multiple colors, I love your videos! Would using buttermilk instead of regular milk change the taste? Should I not add the sour cream or still add it with the buttermilk?

Thanks for sharing..i do have several questions before trying this out:
1. What would be the temp and baking time for 8 inch sized pans?
2. Is it necessary to trim the sides of the cake layers or does this recipe need not to? I am aware that caramelization may occur.
