How to Sew Foundation Paper Piecing: No Tear Freezer Paper Method with Mx Domestic

This video will show you how to sew foundation paper piecing using the "no tear" freezer paper method. The first time I used this method, my mind was absolutely blown away. For the right project, this method is a much more efficient, cleaner, and quicker way to sew a foundation paper pieced pattern than the traditional method.

Instead of folding the paper, I take the foundation pattern to my sewing machine and sew on all the lines with an old unthreaded needle. It perforates the paper making it so easy to see where the line is and where to fold.

Love this. I learned this method a long time ago--2004? 2005? I forget. It's my favorite way to FPP. I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it this way!

I'm pretty new to quilting but have been sewing for over 70 years, mostly doll and puppet making and doll clothes. I use freezer paper by the roll to copy patterns, which I usually do by tracing, but this technique would be a lot easier. I can cut 8 1/2 x 11 squares to run thru my laser printer and try out paper piecing. Thanks a bunch.
