I live in Rosemont. The current elder homeowners are JUST afraid of change and archaic in their thinking. Most of them are too narrow minded to understand that a rising tide lifts all boats and their home market values will double. The real concern is to mitigate the UNWANTED characters from the area, after the development, to keep it's integrity and safety.

Pricing apartment/condo RENTAL units at $1600+ plus should help, but Rosemont is way to close to Pine Hills and Lockhart that are notorious for crime and drugs. There are STILL a slew of problematic Rosemont apartment plexes, along Cinderlane Pkwy, Rose Bay Dr and Rosamond, that have to filter out the bad tenants and ALSO raise their rents to a NON Voucher $1600 to attract the desirable tenants in order to sustain the area.
