Let the families be the church.

I have a powerful, yet subtle but deep image, of us, the beloved ones of Jesus sharing around the table, with the disciples of last supper. We sit around in perfect peace and harmony, with our hearts wide open, smiles on our faces and gladness within, sharing in an AMAZING atmosphere of love because Jesus is there.
All the goodness, all the pleasure, all the safety, cheer and unworriedness coming from Him.


I see an image of families sitting together, families of light. Sharing in the comfort and richness, love and holiness of God, knowing the mystery and treasure of sharing in harmony with Him. Fathers, mothers, children, hands connected, meeting Jesus. Jesus in eachother, and with them as an unspeakably warm presence with them also.
Each family connected at one table and yet also connected over the whole world as the body of Christ, very spiritual, but very concrete. Undeniably, deeply sharing and doubtless in the presence of God, the connections with the Body of Christ almost tangible.
