*The other high schoolers who made videos about this don't have peer-reviewed papers published. Student journals are not the same thing as an undergraduate or graduate-level research publication. Be wary of the advice you receive. In fact, be wary of me too! Check out my LinkedIn & Google Scholar below.*

I know that the following high school journals are indexed by google scholar, and can be considered decent quality:
- Journal of Emerging Investigators
- Journal of Student Research
- International Journal of High School Research
I myself am published in the Journal of Student Research.

@RishabJainK In the first step u mentioned having a mentor which was the part for getting research opportunities. And in the second step u mentioned having a mentor too. Can u clarify what u mean?

what were your previous knowledges before beginning in research? i mean, you say you did research using machine learning, so ¿did you already knew machine learning before getting into research?

Thank you for your content Rishab😁. I have a question about cold emailing. I suppose before cold-emailing a professor I would need to gain a decent amount of knowledge on their research otherwise they probably won't see me as good enough. The thing is, I would e-mail many professors since not many of them are going to accept me. Won't it be a bit overwhelming if I read all of their research? Are there any ways to gain knowledge on their research more efficiently? Also, are there any efficient ways to find out which professor is working on a problem that I might be interested in?

medrXiv is a preprint 'journal', not a peer reviewed one.

"Caution: Preprints are preliminary reports of work that have not been certified by peer review. They should not be relied on to guide clinical practice or health-related behavior and should not be reported in news media as established information." - medrXiv

does my reaserch have to be published to put it on my collage application under extra curriculars???

when applying for harvard or any ivy league, where do i write or post my independent research?? could i make it into a youtube video or does it have to be some article on a website?? im a freshman in highschool right now, when applying can you post a youtube video as one of you "Extra curriculars" regarding an independent research project. Or do you post a link to your blogging website?? which one is better im kind of confused on what platform i make my research project on so its time stamped dated. which platform or format will be accepted on an application. Thanks in advance
