This is what has worked for me. I take off the spray arm, go outside, set the garden hose to jet, (or something higher pressure) and spray INTO the clogged holes. The dish washer boogers have an easier time coming out of the larger hole in the center than the smaller spay holes. It's unbelievable how much gunk is in there.

Should be able to open the spray arm up and NOT have to replace them. Also it seems like the arms should have a built in filter, that stops the crap from getting to and plugging the holes in the first place. I've checked around to see if something like that exists and nope! I might try to rig something anyway - like use a filter designed for a faucet and see if I can get one to fit. The water pressure should keep it in place.
