As a woodworker, I found to my horror that WRC was listed as the most allergenic wood in common use in the US.  It has a allergic sensitization period but after that the fine dust from working the wood leads to more hospital trips than any other species.

Really surprised me.  My health and safety consultant recommended that it never be allowed in the shop (a 4500 ft2 monster with a huge central Dantherm bag house for dust extraction).  His position was that I would need a specfic adendum on my insurance policy to cover the use of known toxic materials (I guess allergenic material is considered toxic) with allergic sensitization periods of unknown length.

Who would know?
