FOREFRONT - Our Story
Did you know that 163 million people in India live without access to drinking water? Women and children are often unable to work or go to school and instead spend their time fetching water from distant wells. While female literacy is 83% worldwide, it is only 59% in India. Low literacy means that fewer people can become doctors. In India, there are only 1 doctor for every 1,400 people. Let’s change this.
At FOREFRONT, our mission is to Enable Every Person, Equip Leaders and Establish Self-Sustaining Communities. We do this by focusing on 4 key pillars – WATER and SANITATION, EDUCATION, MEDICAL AND EMPOWERMENT.
Easy access to clean water allows women and children to go to school and grow their skills. Quality medical care allows for people to be active, healthy and happy. Education uplifts generations and leads to SUSTAINABLE CHANGE.
To date, we have provided 50,000 villagers with clean, accessible water. We created innovative soap toys to encourage children to wash their hands. We launched a woman-led soap business that educates villages about the importance of hand washing. We also started construction on our FOREFRONT International School. Thanks to you, we have accomplished much together!
