As a Patriots fan, this hurts. End of an era, times are changing.

Pete Carroll, Nick Saban, and Bill Belichick leaving their HC jobs all at the same time

Even though you knew it was coming, this is still a sad day in the NFL for Patriots fans. Just wish UNC was working today, so we could hear his take on first take.

Out of of 21 years during the Brady era, Belichick had 18 top 10 defenses

Lets be honest. The most overrated coach in history. Losing record without TB12 before & after.

He was also getting fired regardless. This "mutual "agreement" to move on was simply a respect move by Kraft.

The Patriots are like the Marvel Cinematic Universe! When Thanos was snapped out of existence, is like Brady went to the Bucs! That’s how both the MCU and the Pat's downfall began!

SAS has repeatedly said that had it not been for the fact that Belichick chose to move on from Brady he could have stayed as long as he wanted as a revered sports icon.

The fact however is that it is an abject lie that Belichick pushed Brady out. Every actual fact on the matter is abundantly clear. First, all three men Brady Kraft and Belichick have publicly acknowledged that Brady chose to leave. Kraft himself told SAS that he offered Brady any money he wanted to stay. Furthermore, a year before leaving Brady convinced Kraft to quietly remove the teams ability to franchise tag him the contract. This is not something a player does when he is expecting to be pushed out by a team that doesn’t want to pay him. If you actually track the actual things said by the actual people involved Brady by his own words was calculating his exit for years. These calculations included demanding Kraft trade Jimmy G assuring the team was caught off guard without a quarterback when he left and planting lies to the media that belichick was pushing him out to frame him for his departure because among other reasons he lacked the basic conviction to face the patriots fans with his decision. And indeed, the fans believed this lie which is the reason that Bill Belichick was not given the respect a legend of his stature has earned to go out on his own terms. This lie also undermined his ability to run the team effectively, the same way all of the other things Brady did to sabotage his former team on his way out did.

every era comes to end. Brady had to leave Pats first, he ended career by losing to cowboys... now he retired. Bill led Pats for impressive 24 seasons. Kraft called Belichick the greatest coach of all time and said what Bill accomplished will never be duplicated. That's about it.

The Patriots will never get back to there glory days cuz no coach will ever do what he did for that franchise far as Superbowl wins

It was time for him to leave gracefully.
Belichick, not Belicheck.

An all time great, it's sad to see him leave but he probably should've been gone a few years ago. He earned the right to have an ego but it started getting in the way of success with his questionable draft picks and coaching choices

Joe Gibbs won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different quarterbacks. None of which are going to the Hall of Fame. That's far more impressive than winning 6 Titles with the greatest quarterback ever. Why? Because if Gibbs had the best quarterback ever, he'd win the Super Bowl almost every year. I'd argue Belichick wasn't ever the best coach in the league, let alone greatest of all time. Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in 17 years with the Steelers, and Big Ben hasn't been there for the last 2 seasons. Belichick was 9 games under 500 without Brady in New England. Why? Not to mention he was 36-44 in 5 seasons with the Browns.
