A Florida woman was arrested after law enforcement said she threatened an insurance company using the same words found on bullet casings in the UnitedHealthcare CEO's murder.

According to an arrest affidavit from Lakeland police, on Dec. 10 42-year-old Briana Boston called BlueCross BlueShield about recently denied medical insurance claims.

Near the end of the recorded call, Boston reportedly said, "Delay, Deny, Depose. You people are next."

After the phone conversation, the FBI was alerted, who in turn spoke with Lakeland police about the possible threat.

"Delay, Deny, Depose" is the exact phrase found on bullet casings found at the scene of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's murder last week in Manhattan.

The affidavit said the words "became a nationally recognized phrase directed against insurance companies."

After learning about the alleged threat, police said they went to speak with Boston at her home about the conversation.

Boston was reportedly asked if she used the phrase, "Delay, Deny, Depose. You people are next" during her call earlier that day with BlueCross BlueShield. She confirmed she said those words and reportedly apologised.

She went on to say she used those words because "it's what is in the news right now," and said she learned the phrase because of the ongoing coverage of the UnitedHealthcare CEO's murder, the affidavit said.

Boston reportedly told police she doesn't own any guns and isn't a danger to anyone. The affidavit also stated Boston said that "healthcare companies played games and deserved karma from the world because they are evil."

Several people in my life have been threatened by ex lovers/spouses and stalked. Cops didn't arrest anybody or even care. One woman suggests a possible threat to an insurance corporation, 15 years is on the table.

Seems corporations are the only people protected by the law anymore.

What does the status of country has to do with this individual case…

The judge set the bond based on the status of our country???

DanielShays

The judge set her bond at $100, 000, stating, “I do find that the bond of $100, 000 is appropriate considering the status of our country at this point.” What?!

Briana Boston just asked Blue Cross to pay for the services she needed. They denied her claim. How do they expect her to feel?

That Judge must have ties to the Healthcare Industry

Wow, that was a threat?! My mother told me once, "I brought you into this world, and I'll take you out." That's a threat

The media is a disgrace for going along with this crap! That judge shouldn’t have a job anymore and the law enforcement and prosecutor should be fired too.

She needs a better lawyer. That judge is def manipulating everyone with ‘status of country’. How horrible. Karma will come for arrogant people who misuse status. Nature will make sure of it!

"status of the country" evidence this judge is using a trivial case as a threat to the country. individual cases are to be treated individually, unless you're a corrupt judge. and even if this was a threat, 15 years for a threat is not reasonable, obviously. go ahead, make us madder. see how that works out. escalation never backfires /s.

In a world of CEOs getting shot on the street and overzealous Florida sheriff making a false arrest is insanity and thinking he’ll get away with it, is absolutely insane.
A mother of 3?
The people are literally ready to revolt.
This was a horrible move on his part.

WHAT A DISGRACE. They just want to torment and make an example of that poor woman. Where's the reporting on the claim that was denied, and the reason for it? Sounds like the health ins company called the OBiden govt to do them a solid. I think a warning would have been sufficient when the police went to her door. DISGUSTING.
