The Book of Jonah & Its Meaning: In Hebrew, Jonah Means 'Dove,' the Symbol of the Holy Spirit.

There are two other parallels that further enforce the prophetic qualities of the Book of Jonah to Christ. They hit me on the day I uploaded the video so they’re not mentioned in the video. Here they are:

1) In Jonah, the sailors try to save him but then the storm becomes wilder than before.

Pilate tried to save Christ as well after his wife warns him to not harm Him but the crowds don’t give Pilate a choice in the same way that the storm didn’t give the sailors a choice.

2) In Jonah, a leafy plant provides shade to Jonah for a day but the Lord sends a worm to kill the plant that night. Jonah wakes up to a dead plant.

In Matthew, outside of Jerusalem, Jesus says to a leafy fig tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.

Then Jesus overturns the tables of merchants selling ‘Doves’ in the temple in Jerusalem.

The next day, when they leave the city, the disciples see the tree withered from the roots.

I really appreciate your videos, Bro. Thanks for explaining the Book of Jonah in a way I have not only never heard before, but in a way I could understand. God Bless You for that, Brother. Keep doing what you're doing.

The book about Jonah
from the Old Testament, preparing the Lord's people for the resurrection of the Lord in the New Testament. Three days in the whale's belly.
