"The right way, the wrong way, and the Janeway!" That's perfect! 😆

Transphasic torpedoes, literal plot armor.

I would love to see an Armoured Sovereign Class.

Janeway developed the offensive and defensive systems to combat the Borg. Remember it took Voyager about 33 years to return to Earth from the Delta Quadrant. Admiral Janeway even said she had more run-ins with the Bord during that time period.

Oh God, translate the armor tech to the Sovereign and see how many tactical cubes it would take to destroy one. That would be cool to see if someone can mod a Sovereign class to carry the armor the Voyager has

The number of quantum torpedoes that miss the target is incredible.

If i recall correctly from the episode, the armor was developed by Janeway specifically with the borg in mind b/c she says she encountered them a few more times in the many more years it took her to get home, before she went back in time to bring everyone including Seven, Tuvok and others home safe and sound.

"It goes straight trough to the warp core..." well that's exactly how transphasic torpedos work, it's the same tech, that Admiral Pressmann used on the Pegasus, a molecular phase shifting tech, but instead of using it to bring the ship out of phase, to allow it to pass through solid matter, it is used to bring those torpedos out of phase, allowing then to pass through shields and hull to hit where it hurts the most. Picard used a similar tactic during the battle in sector 001, he knew where a torpedo, or 3-4 quantum torpedos would hurt that cube and therefore concentrated all fire power on that area. Hitting one or two main energy distribution nodes, led to a catastrophic cascade reaction. At least that is how i interprated it in the show. Admiral Janeway might had the tech, but she was limited to voyagers ressources to adapt her tech, so it seems unlikely that she was able to boost voyagers torpedos massively in pure strengh. That's just my theory on the future tech.

Without the transphasic torpedoes it would struggle against one Sovereign.

Now I would love to see how many Galaxy-X class starships it would take to end armored Voyager. Alt-future Galaxy vs alt-future Intrepid. So cool.

Another fun one thanks.

Ya I liked how the armor opened up when the torpedoes fired. It's weird how the forward launchers didn't look protected. Unless they were and a covering opened up for the launcher part itself for the torpedo to fire. I too liked how the armor wasn't invincible.

Tuvok: The armor is failing!
-That was said when the Borg sphere was following them through the conduit back to the Alpha Quadrant.

I wonder as well what race future Admiral Janeway encountered when she developed the armor and transphasic torpedoes.

This is MY theory on that: I too bet she had met the Krenim but the version of Krenim she encountered were in power just like in "Year Of Hell" BUT were NOT war like instead they were friendly and wanted to help Voyager with their journey home. Perhaps they couldn't them home outright, so gave them tech to develop the transphasic torpedoes. Maybe that Krenim encountered the Borg and a defense against them and thus shared their tech with anyone who had encountered the Borg.

that one transphasic torpedo just created a massive tidal wave and possible wiped out a portion of a continent.

This was painful for me to watch. The Sovereign is my favorite class... but I'm not surprised. It's a powerful ship, but still standard.

It was brutal but effective 😂 love the show 😂❤

I tried the armoured Voyager against different ships, those transphasic torpedoes are no joke, I was 1 shotting pretty much everything went up against

Absolutely Incredible withstanding all that firepower

This confirms the statement "like shooting fish in a barrel."

Alright, who told Janeway that the Sovereigns stole all the coffee?

Is it bad that I feel sorry for the Sovereigns? I'll be okay...I just need a minute.
