For those that are curious, I have been in charge of operating camera for SkySnap Productions. Every Showtime Speedway racing event they host a live stream of that night's events. During this night was on Feb 10th 2024 it was the Dave Steele non wing sprint Championship. It was 125 laps on intense racing with tension rising during each lap.

My story on chasing my dream!

Back in high school I use to do TV Production for my school. I was the man always behind the camera capturing them sports moments at our games football, baseball, etc. I loved it had an amazing teacher Ms. Rein that had connections to amazing editing software and some very top of the line cameras. Loved every minute of it.

After I graduated, I became very sad knowing that I couldn't continue what I was doing. Not having the accessibility that I did, No way was I going to be able to compete and make videos on the level that I did.
Fast forward couple years, I'm blessed with a son that is brought into my life that would change everything. At that moment I knew I wanted to chase having the career of something I loved to do and enjoyed waking up to be excited and thrilled to do the career I chose. I decided I would get me a phone that had great camera and editing features which was the LGV20. I filmed and edited video from that phone for a while. Saved money till I could get a nice camera. Bought a Canon SL2 was about to transfer anything I filmed onto phone and then edited on my phone. The following year saved up for a laptop knowing it would speed up the editing process. Bought a standard $1200 laptop that had just enough of what I needed to start editing on laptop.

At this point its mid 2020 I'm going out to my local track @Showtimespeedway every month for the drift events making a video every month. Caught some attention of drivers, some allowed me to ride passenger and get some even better shots. At this point I even had a few drivers reach out to me and pay me for the footage that I got of them. Thats when I realized that God is blessing me and showing me through some hard work and years of taking baby steps that I was able to get a little taste of making a living off this. So if you are any of the drivers that have paid me for some footage and are reading this thank you very much! It truly means the everything that you wanted to pay for footage without even me asking. It gave me the confidence that I was getting some good shots and was worthy of the price.

Fast forward to about a year ago. I was riding passenger during an event and a part broke on the car i was riding passenger in. I had my POV and then I had my gopro on the chase car behind us. Meanwhile there was a FPV drone pilot above us the whole time. After the even he happened to come up to us and say hey i got a sick shot of the accident. I said so did I, i got 2 type of views. So we collabed on a video and we each made our very own versions of the incident.

Little did I know that less then a year of that collab happening with @SkySnapProductions that he would ask me to be a cameraman for his production crew at Showtime Speedway recording and streaming the racing events.

Going onto 5 months now with them and they are making some big moves and taking me as much as they can throughout their journey. I am thrilled to be part of their team of amazing people that know what they are doing and are just as thrilled as I am to have the crew they have behind them as they go and take bigger steps into the production world.
