NEW RELEASE!!! 2021 Topps Inception Hobby Box. Is it worth it?

In today's video we are ripping the new release from topps 2021 Inception. Guys in gonna be point blank here and tell you to save your money for better stuff. This product almost tripled in price from last year and it makes no sense in the world to me. Each box will have 7 cards and contain 1 auto. At $180 per box or more this will be a hard pass for me. I would like to hear yalls thoughts on this set and as always Happy Collecting!!

It’s not necessarily the manufactures fault due to the retail flippers and big time breakers reaping all the benefits. This product is absolute trash for anything over $100. I appreciate the breaks! I've seen 1 card out of about 100 that would sell for more than the box. Getting lucky doesn't even make the money back anymore

Man I love how you keep it real and tell it like it is ...I got back in the hobby about a year ago and boy was it the wrong time to get into it ..everything has more than doubled in pricing ...hobby boxes last year for topps were about half of what they were this year ...me and my buddy were just talking lastnight about getting a bowman hta jumbo box and we looked at the price...just pure tee craziness ...worst part is it’s so hard to find retail now compared to last year I probably won’t be able to find it this year and have to pay triple for that on eBay ...I don’t know if there will be a crash in the market or anything like I keep hearing but I do think the unattended consequences will be the true collectors will get disinterested bc of the prices and how hard it is to find and stop collecting and the newer collectors won’t be able to afford to stay in the hobby all together ...I mean I don’t know any kids 10-15 that can afford to pay triple on eBay to buy a blaster or pay 2-300 for a hobby box so how will they afford to be able to put together a set or anything like we did when we were kids ..Anyways I hope the fam is doing good ..I actually like the way inception looks but at 165-175 I will just buy a single and guarantee that I get the card I want😀

There are a ton of great names this year in this product, but at $150-$180 it's ridiculous to quite possibly get a base auto of a no-name bullpen rookie pitcher. I'm saving up for Tribute & quite possibly Bowman if pricing doesn't go up even higher than it already is.

I have always like inception but at that price I won’t even be looking to buy singles since the prices are going to be crazy. I’m saving my money for other releases for sure. Might not even be buying bowman this year. I’m with you on trying to stay positive but when you can’t buy a lot of the products it makes it hard to not complain. Keep up the good work as always and I hope all is going well with your newborn!

Thank you for being honest and letting people know this is not worth it at the current price. Unfortunately, some breakers are not preaching this at the moment. I don't think I'd touch it for over $90.

Regardless of anything, people will still buy these boxes up at inflated prices, especially if there’s a stand out rookie this year. Some people are risk takers and gamblers. I bought 2 boxes of 2021 Inception at $175 each and set them aside til next year. Wish I bought them presale at $120 though. 2020 Inception was $60 a box when it was released, now it’s going for $240! I also got over a dozen PSA 10 cards when I sent mine out for grading last year and only 1 PSA 9. So the buyers will buy and the sellers like me will profit! But I personally wouldn’t spend that kind of money for myself, in all honesty.

A definite pass. My LCS had one box left yesterday at $140, which is relatively cheap, but I bought a box of 1990 Bowman instead for $25. Pulled the Frank Thomas rookie, at least! I don't know, man. The upward trend of pricing is not good at all. Definitely appreciate your honesty and, as always, the positive vibes, my brother!
