Meghan Markle is speaking out about her relationship with her estranged father, Thomas Markle. In an exclusive "CBS This Morning" clip from Oprah sit-down with Meghan and Prince Harry, the media mogul asked the Duchess of Sussex if she felt betrayed when her father began "working with the tabloids" ahead of her wedding day in 2018. "I look at Archie, I think about this child [on the way], and I genuinely can't imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child. I can't imagine it. So it's hard for me to reconcile that," she said.

Something not right about her story... During this whole interview she is calm and composed. She accuses without naming names. I thought she and Harry wanted to live independent and private lives but you go on tv and talk about all these things after a year away from the spotlight. Kind of hypocritical and almost sour like attitude. Archie will have to answer questions from the media later on in his life about this interview. I think that’s unfair for the burden that will be placed on him to come because his parents are creating tension and making accusations in the media instead of keeping their family problems private. I don’t think it’s the right thing to do.

I have to say, as far as dads go, Meghans dad has got to be the poster boy for how to not be a dad! His fuck up was monumental and to say it was a mistake is a cheap and low brow attempt at trying to convince the world he wasn’t thinking clearly.

Coming from a very toxic family and being 100% protective of my son because of how I grew up.. I have so much empathy for them!! People who judge probably come from good families. The betrayal of a parent is worse than any gf/bf or friend etc. They are suppose to protect you above their own self interest. At the end of the day sometimes you choose your sanity and say goodbye to survive, to be a better parent than they were.

I don't blame her for being estranged to her father. The fact that her dad admitted that he was working with the British tabloids and getting paid for the interviews he was doing shows a lot about his character. He's the one & her half-sister (the one who published a tell-all book about her) are the ones that are gold diggers & are banking off their association with the Duchess of Sussex. A father who loves his daughter unconditionally, no matter the rift between them, would sell her out like that & intentionally throw her under the bus like that. He knew this would hurt her, and I don't blame her for not being in speaking terms with him & she shouldn't trust him at all.
