Dan Akroid is one of those guests that could go on for hours... and I could easily watch every second.

What a great soul Dan Aykroyd has. We're so lucky that we have him in our midst!

I met Dan and his wife once outside the back of the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto after his gig ended. I couldn't get into the sold-out show so I listened outside to enjoy it anyway. Then he and his crew burst out to get some fresh air and "party on" outside. He and his wife eventually came up to me to talk as they realized why I was there. They were so kind to come up to a shy kid. They were sorry I couldn't get in, but we did talk about the blues and the joy of performing live. So fine. 🎵⭐🔥😎👍

To this day, Dan Aykroyd only promotes and discusses things he genuinely loves. He's a man who's lived his life the right way.

Dan: "I've got some tips."
Me: (prepares to hear a moderately funny joke.)
Dan: (proceeds to give serious, worthwhile tips.)
Me: (tearfully) I will Dan. I will do everything that you just said. Maybe twice.

Every time I see an interview with Akroyd I just want to hug him. I wish I could meet him. He’s great on so many levels.

Along with Bill Murray, Dan is one of those guys you just _want_ to love. Sometimes he comes across as a bit nuts and it's hard to keep holding him in that reverence, but here he's just his lovable self. One of the absolute greats of comedy and I'm so happy he took the opportunity to espouse inclusivity and togetherness, especially in this (hopefully soon to be dead) age of division.

Elwood: "It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks." - 'The Blues Brothers"

omg hearing his voice again brought a huge smile to my face. He also sounds a lot like John Lithgow now. Spies Like Us is one of my all time favorite movies, and — it's rare — but every once in a while I'll hear a certain song playing at my grocery store and I'll say out loud, with the same cadence as Mr. Aykroyd, "That's 'Soul Finger' ... by the Bar-Kays!" 😀

Dan Aykroyd is close to my heart. He was one I could compare myself to. I knew and know the impossibilities are possible. He kicked down every door and became iconic, based on himself alone and his extreme talent. Alot of us see him in pure love and light. Bless Dan, his family, friends and fans, forevermore.
