Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Redmi Note 8 Pro Speedtest - Snapdragon 720G faster than Mediatek G90T?

Can the newly launched Redmi Note 9 Pro take on the Mediatek G90T toting Redmi Note 8 Pro in a C4ETech style Speed Test - we find out, in today’s video!

The Redmi Note 9 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 720G while the Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on the Mediatek Helio G90T. As for the storage and RAM, the Redmi Note 9 Pro only has two options - 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. On the flip side, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is kitted out with 6GB RAM with 64 or 128GB of storage or 8GB RAM with 128 or 256GB of internal storage. The memory is expandable via a MicroSD card on both of these smartphones but the Redmi Note 9 Pro gets a dedicated slot while the Redmi Note 8 Pro has to deal with a hybrid sim slot.

On the software front, both phones are running on MIUI 11.

thanks for the video and good test of speed, you really showed that 720G is faster than G90T in long term use
considering 720G is 8nm and G90T 12nm
G90T uses heat pipe and still hotter than 720G without it
easily noticed when you opened apps quickly and consecutively, mediatek was slowing as hell to end because of heat making it underclocked.

The must have slowed the Note 8 pro by updates.
The have Slowed my Redmi note 5Pro and the battery backup is only for 3-4 hours.
So for long term use (1-2years) you should buy any other brand phone.

Note 8 pro reloading everything because it's on android 9 that's the android 9 issue, check out after android 10 comes in N8PRO it will crash 720G..
