Old Ford 351m Gets Headers

Finally getting around to putting the headers on the Old Ford 351m.
The ol truck put up a pretty good fight this weekend, I will say that.
Started with the passenger side because iv been told it was the hardest side. Turns out it wasn't to bad at all to take the old manifold off. To put the new header on that side was a little tricky but not to bad. Just simply had to unbolt the tie rod end and move it forward, unbolt the starter and kinda move it to the side along with the starter wire and it went right up into place.
Driver side on the other hand, Not a successful day for this project.
After exhausting all options I had to get that bolt out I was still unsuccessful. So for this video I give it a 80/20%. 80% YEEHAAW and 20% FROUNY FACE. But... Stay tuned for another update video on this project coming out soon.

Big thanks to the helping hands with this project,
Ronnie, for loaning me a few tools
Ol Craig, for helping me out with this project
LiL Cuz, for lending a hand when family needs it most.

Cameras used,
GoPro Hero5 Session

Parts,
Flow Tech Headers for 77-79 F150 2wd
FelPro exhaust manifold gaskets
Chili Cheese Dog and Mt Dew

Thank you all for watching and for the support of my channel.
See ya in the next project...

It’s about 20 bolts then wiring harness to get the front clip off although if you’re by your self it’s probably not the best idea

I ordered the same headers and they fit great but once i put on the starter it no longer fit.

I heard you have to take the motor loose and jack it up to install headers. just wondering if you had to

Did you notice a power difference with the headers?? Considering doing it if it’s worth it due to horse power differences

Wes, has your starter overheated/ burnt out since you added headers? Ive heard Thats a side effect of running headers on this motor?

I heard by leaving the truck on for a while so the bolts can be hot they will come right out! Might be better idk

You have to start from outside in .too much pressure on the bolt .and the extensions take away all your torque
