I honestly loved Bucharest and would love to come back and explore other cities in Romania. I loved the architecture, culture, food, and so much more in this city. I hope you enjoy the video :).

The city closes many blocks of Calea Victoriei on Saturdays and Sundays to car traffic, during the extended summer season. So people can walk. It started during the pandemic. And it is so great they have kept the program. It becomes like a street festival at night. So many beautiful buildings. Don't miss the Atheneum.

Love this video so much. Romanian/chicagoan here, I love both cities (bucharest and Chicago) for the same reasons; INSANE amounts of green space, extensive public transportation even at night, a vibrant night life, and the large grandeur of it all. They have similar populations in terms of city proper! In bucharest there is no beach...but both the beach and the mountains are but an hour to 2 train ride which isnt that different from when we used to go up to indiana for the dunes lol.
