Why Man United DESERVED To Beat Man City

With just 5 minutes left in the Manchester derby, Pep Guardiola looked to have ground out an uninspiring 1-0 win... then Amad Diallo happened. In just 115 breathless seconds the young player first won a penalty from Nunes, then scored a stunning solo goal, to entirely turn the game on its head. A huge boost to Ruben Amorim, and an announcement that the youngster has arrived at the highest level.

Adam Clery looks at why his side more than deserved the three points, even if it took something miraculous to get them.

I feel like you didnt give enough credit to Ugarte, he was my man of the match up until like the 80th minute when Amad said "Nah im him"

I liked when Halaand tried to shove Maguire in the box and Maguire just shoved him back out lol

Watching Amad sprint off like 4 times in the first half to come back and correct his run for the game winner was a better story than half of whats come out of Hollywood in the last decade.

Harry Maguiee looking like an £80m defender in this system.

Impressed with Antony's short performance this game as well. His decision making is improving massively.

Nobody's talking about Ugarte's backheel from the crowded middle to find Martinez before the match winning assist?

6:47 I know United had a shocking gap in the middle of the park during ten Hag, but holy cow this example really opens up your perspective.

Couldn't wait for your analysis. My go to channel.

Thank you for mentioning Gvardiol not simply stopping that ball from going in! I felt I was going mad, every pundit seemed to ignore that basic and obvious detail.

It was really impressive watching United prevent City from building out. It has been a long time since that happened consistently 😅

To a man, I’ve liked Maguire. He sold me when he turned West Ham to fight for his place. You never heard him complain last year or early this year under No Hag. It’s good to see him used properly.

‘Supposed to do the low percentage stuff’

This is the death of the modern game. Players not able to be creative in the eyes of the analysts. Thank God for Amad willing to try this.

It’s the creativity that we watch the game for. It’s the entertainment and individual skill that’s mesmerising.

When you need to beat a team you have to target the one weakness they have, and united did; they played football

The analysis you made about the 2 city defenders(Walker and Gvardiol) not dropping back for 2 existing and true reasons is some very high level analysis.

Love your content bro whatever the team may be you waxing lyrical about.

I am a United supporter so you have exposed how isht we are a couple of times deservedly so. But I will watch those video so that I can increase my anger as to how isht my team is.

Keep the content coming.

its early days still, but for the first time in 10 years it feels like we are starting to form a playing ideology and a system, feels refreshing

I really hope and pray that Amad goes on to be a world-class player. I haven't been so excited about a player at Utd since Greenwood and Sancho.

I knew there was no chance we’d get a palace video with the Manchester Derby, but they just destroyed the Brighton team that everyone’s been drooling over. Would love a video on how Glasner has turned this season around

Harry is immense in a back 3 as the cb, this was always known. At Leicester and for England it was a back 3 that made him an outstanding defender.

as ever excellent analysis - I have one nit-pick (and I'm a Utd fan). You're a bit hard on Gvardiol. He's running back at speed - such is his momentum, he can't get his right foot around the ball to prod it away from goal, not his left - he can't stop - so I think he doesn't have any option, other to hope the ball hits him or try a back heel - it didn't work - but I don't think he could do anything else. It's all very well looking at it in slow motion - but he's pelting back towards the goal - people aren't made of rubber, and they can't reverse the laws of physics - his momentum prevented him from doing anything other than what he tried.

as a Liverpool fan its good to see harry Maguire actually looking like the player we know he is. mentality king to still be putting in shifts after the way fans have treated him
