Julia ended a relationship because Jock was too busy to text her back (instead of asking “Hey, why didn’t you respond to my message yesterday?” The next day when they meet in person again), and Jon is trying so desperately to get her attention that he literally pretends to have a broken foot/ankle/what-have-you.
