Texas Longhorn breeder here. Some of those are clearly Watusi. But, the Longhorns that are in the video are gorgeous

What a great story, I’ve never thought about Texas Longhorns being in Australia before. It’s a credit to these (ranchers) that they are breeding a world class herd. Also bringing other bovine species to their (ranch) is truly amazing! 👍🏼👍🏼

I've heard that since longhorns were wild for so long, they a hearty and will feed on bushes and branches besides just grass.

Very glad to see the longhorn breed and the western heritage being kept alive, congrats to Michael and Lynda for thier dedication and hard work, it's certainly paying off now!! Would love to learn more about thier cattle station(ranch)

Those cattle, are a species straight from TEXAS. The Australian herds would not exist otherwise. Your title is wrong because this article would not exist, if not for this magnificent TEXAS breed.

Reminds me of the local Afrikaner and Nguni. South Africa. Also the Ankole from Central Africa.

Interesting that theyre all purebred Texas longhorns, i wouldve guessed some of them were more Ankole than longhorn

0:18 The one with the super thick horns, in the rear, Looks like a Watusi, not a TX longhorn.

Edit: To correct timestamp

I hope they don't select for longer horns until the cattle can't lift their heads.
