I would love to say I will be one of the first to have an Apple car. But truthfully that most likely won’t happen unless some things are done to make it affordable. I have a LOT of Apple products but with the exception of my iPhone 11 Pro Max I just can’t afford to keep buying upgraded devices every year or 2 or 3 years. Apple is notorious for the high price of their devices (ie $550 wireless AirPods Max). I wanted to upgrade my iMac but the iMac Pro is going to cost me $6500 for the configuration I would like. I looked at the MAC Pro and the Monitor for it, but my wish list and customization put me at $12, 000 for the Pro and another $6000 for the monitor (why in the hell is the stand $1000?). So my guess is the first Apple Car to be put on sale is going to be in the $80, 000 upwards of $125, 000 range and that puts it out of my buying range. Tesla has done this as well, I can’t afford to buy a car for more than $65, 000 when I could only go 300 miles and then spend 8 to 12 hours charging it to go another 300 miles. Apple needs to make something in the price range common folks can afford and make something that can be recharged in a matter of minutes. If they do that then I’ll buy it. But my opinion is still going to be true, if Apple can charge $550 for wireless headphones or $1500 for a new iPhone then no doubt they will try to sell a car for $125, 000 or MORE!!! One other thing, the code name for the project ‘Titan’ could just be in reference to the price of the vehicle and most likely it will be TITANIC!!!

Hi Mike, interesting perspective. Not sure this is going to be so easy as it sounds for Apple to succeed here. Also to me, 2024 if not 2025 by then, is not so soon if they truly started with this in 2014... 5 years ago this was announced for 2019... I don’t wish them ill yet I don’t worry about this impacting T≡SLA which will be lightyears ahead mid-decade... 😁

Im sure we will definitely see competitors, and why not Apple? Imagine if we could only buy a Ford or Chevy, competitors cause change and accountability. Tesla definitely has a grip on the EV market but it's an open market and EV's are the future.

The name Titan could represent apples first foray into the electric car market, as the Titans were the first God's on earth. Also interesting— if a bit pedantic— the war between the Olympian's and the Titans lasted 10 years. This concept began in 2014 (although rumors of this have been cycling around since 2004) and is slated to end in 2024. So maybe this isn't project Titan, but the 10 year development to crush the Titans (Ford, GM, etc).
