We have a 10 month old red cavapoo and she is amazing with our son & loves all kids! She doesn’t bite and is really well behaved (I trained her right when we got her home at 8 weeks- I highly suggest watching Zak George’s Dog Training Revolution & Rachel Fusaro for awesome tips-she was potty trained in a few weeks. Dog training her was intense, but I did it all myself with the help of those two YouTube channels. Training can help with separation anxiety & I also groom the cavapoo myself. Barking can be stopped by training & house training. Bottom line, it’s all about training your pup from the moment it comes home ♥️ we paid $1600 for our female pup and have had her checked out and she has no medical issues. overall, I totally recommend a cavapoo, ours is so mellow & loves all people.

I love my cavapoo, Olivia. She's almost 10 months old. She's so smart, sweet and loyal. She doesn't shed and I absolutely love her fluffy hair. She's high maintenance but it's totally worth it. My cavapoo is truly a gift.

I have one (4 years now) best dog I've ever had, anyone on the fence should 100% get one. Very loving, very loyal, very smart and mine does not shed what more can you want.

My family and I are getting our Cavapoo puppy in 5 more weeks! She is 3 weeks old right now and needs to grow some more before we can get her. It's our first time having a puppy/dog, so this video was good to know what we can expect!

There is a difference between a “watch dog” and a “guard dog.” We have a very vocal and adorable Cavapoo. She runs, barking loudly, whenever she hears our front gate open. She’s a watch dog…watches and listens for signs of someone at the gate and notifies us by her actions and excited barking. I grew up with German Shepards. They are usually guard dogs. They hear the gate open, and they don’t say much…maybe a low growl. And their message is, “Stay put, folks. I’ll take care of this!” 😁 I would never expect our sweet Cavy to be a guard dog…she is way too in love with people and other dogs! And don’t be fooled by hearing that Cavapoos aren’t barkers! I’ve heard and read Comments from Cavy folks that many a cavy can be mad barkers! 🐶😁

Our cavapoo is 11 weeks old. We have had him for 2 weeks. We are retired so separation anxiety is not an issue. He loves everyone. However, we have owned other dogs including a papillon/ mini dachshund mix, a bichon frise, and a samoyed. All were much much easier to potty train than this cavapoo boy. We take him out every 30 minutes and he does his business, but then he comes back inside and has an accident 10 minutes later. Hoping this difficult housetraining is successful soon because this training is hard on an older couple. He is also difficult to walk on a leash, very hyperactive outdoors. Otherwise he's a nice dog, but we wish we had known in advance how hard puppyhood training can be, as we had never experienced this with our other breeds. We believe in rescue and tried to go that route, but all the available rescue dogs were very large breeds, mostly pitt mixes, which would be impossible for us at age 80 even though we're very active. Hope we can survive our cav's puppyhood.

My CavaPoo, Penny Maxine, is so loving and friendly to people as well as other dogs. She loves to go on walks and she will let me know when it’s time to go. She sits perfectly still in the car and absolutely loves to go anywhere I go, to stores or on a ride. She sleeps in a roomy kennel at night on a pillow and a doggie bed. This routine began the first night I had her. She was a little unhappy at first because she’d always slept with her brothers and sisters but when I put the kennel on my bed where she could see me, it worked and she slept all night. After a few nights I moved the kennel to the floor beside my bed and that’s her nightly routine now. Once when I was later going to bed, Penny Maxine crawled into her kennel and got in her bed all by herself. I highly recommend this breed. My grandchildren love her and she loves them.

Great video. Crates should never be used as punishment. It's their sanctuary.

He says they are not good with small children, I beg to differ. My two granddaughters are being bought up with one and she is very gentle with them

BTW, we paid $3000 for our cavapoo pup. Several breeders here in Ohio are charging $5000 up. This is insane. We dealt with one breeder whose cav pups are priced at $7500, and state tax must be added to those prices. Then there is the huge expense of dog supplies, vet visits, and grooming costs. It's really cheaper to have a human baby!

My son has a special needs cavapoo. Luckily he lives next door and my husband and I work at home. We take care of him when he isn’t home.

negative reinforcement is actually not yelling or sending them to the trait. negative or positive stand for added or taken away. reinforcement is used when you want to encourage behavior. negative reinforcement is when you take something away that is unpleasant, to encourage the good behavior.
